Beyond Selfish: Kendall’s Prank On Kim K Went SO Wrong

In case you didn’t know, Khloe Kardashian got her own talk show, Kocktails With Khloe. Kris Jenner’s talk show, Kris was basically a huge train wreck that only ran one season before getting canned, but perhaps Khloe will have more luck since she’s more likable. (I subscribe to the belief that she is the most tolerable of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.) But that’s not what’s important here.

Khloe decided it would be fun to have her sister Kendall Jenner prank call their sister Kim and tell her that she was pregnant. Sounds like a potentially hilarious situation right? Okay, maybe a little cruel as well since any sister would totally freak out… Or so you’d think.

In a video shared by Yahoo News, we see Kendall call Kim and tell her that she needs to tell her something and hasn’t told anyone else yet. She then says, “I’m pregnant.”

Now, a normal sister would respond with as much support as possible. Or at least be shocked. No matter what the situation was, there would definitely be words. Maybe they’d ask their little sister who’s barely entered her 20’s what her plans are, who the father is, when she will tell her parents, when this happened, anything like that.

Instead, Kim replies that she isn’t the right person to talk to because she just had the worst birthing experience ever and she would be too negative. She goes on to complain that North was up all night and she’s had no sleep. She basically drones on the entire time about how terrible she feels and there is ZERO mention of Kendall and her situation whatsoever.

Now obviously, this turned out to all be a prank. But Kim didn’t know that. This is literally how she felt it would be appropriate to respond to her sister’s pregnancy announcement. I mean, for all she knew, Kendall was confiding in her before anyone else about this unplanned pregnancy at the height of her career. She got no support, no advice, nothing.

I don’t think anyone who has seen Kim K over the years would deny that she has a very “me-centered” attitude but this is a whole new level. The Kardashians are notorious for claiming to be all about family and putting each other first. Call me crazy but it seems like the exact opposite of all these values was displayed in this disaster of a phone call.

If you’re one of the delusional people who happen to believe Kim Kardashian actually offers anything whatsoever to our society, this has to some pretty damning evidence otherwise. I’ve seen a lot of selfish acts on behalf of all celebrities but this just might take the cake.

Could you imagine if it had actually been true? I mean honestly, poor Kendall.

So far neither Kim nor any other family members have made any statements regarding the pranks and it’s quite possible that they won’t. For the most part, everyone involved seemed to just see it as the joke it was meant to be. Hmm, I guess they must just be used to it at this point.

So what lessons can we take away here?

Don’t bother pranking Kim because anytime you speak to her will just be another excuse for her to remind you how hard her life is in her mansion with all her hired help.

If in fact you are Kim’s pregnant sister, maybe choose a different member of your family to break the news to first and just send Kim a memo or something.
