The best part of The Late Late Show? Carpool Karaoke. James Corden driving around singing, joking, and just interacting with celebrities is the best. If this is your favourite part of the show, you’re in luck! Billboard has announced that Corden, along with his executive producer, Ben Winston are said to be shopping around the viral sensation as a show! It will have the same concept, where a host will drive around with a celebrity, singing songs, asking questions, and getting into random situations.
Unfortunately, James Corden is too busy hosting The Late Late Show to become the host of Carpool Karaoke permanently, but I’m sure he’ll be making appearances! With CBS Television Studios and Winston’s Fulwell 73 production company producing the show, there is sure to be heavy interest with a high bidding war. With the popularity of the franchise, I’m surprised it even took this long to be made into a show.
