Lush is known for their hand-made cosmetics that are environmentally friendly, ethically manufactured and cruelty free. Their marketing is not only unique in packaging, but Lush has also held progressive campaigns fighting against homophobia, fatphobia, and animal testing. Established in the UK, Lush has taken over the globe with their high quality beauty products. Here is a list of eight of the best products you can find at any Lush location, and tips and tricks for when using your new favorite soaps and scrubs:
1. Full of Grace (Face Serum)
I went to Lush to buy a face mask, and the sales rep recommended to use this serum under the fresh masks to enhance its effect. It is a solid moisturizing bar that works wonders on dry skin. For those with normal or combination skin (like myself) I would suggest using this at night to wake up with such a lovely glow, it may be a bit much in the morning for those with oily skin. It melts on contact with your skin and it smells amazing. I have really noticed a difference in the redness of my skin since using this product. It lasts forever and works. 100% recommend.
Tip: One thing that initially bothered me was the potential for bacteria to grow on this bar. So, I break a small chunk off and leave the rest in the fridge to stay clean and fresh (The sample pots are perfect for holding it).
2. R&B (Hair Moisturizer)
This is magic in a pot. On my last visit to lush the lady gave me a sample and told me it would last me 8 uses. This is a leave in conditioner that is so rich that you really don’t need to use more than a pea. I have hair down to my back and I always doubt that statement, until I found R&B. It has avocado oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil to hydrate, lock in moisturize, and keep those flyaway hairs at bay. It can be used on damp or dry hair. I work it into my ends after towel drying. While this product is recommended for those with frizzy curly locks, I have straight hair and it works wonders on me. The scent is my favorite part: orange blossom and jasmine; can it get any better? This is a hair product staple. A+
Tip: Don’t use too much or your hair will get greasy. This is a rich product packed with good stuff; don’t over do it!
3. Sympathy For The Skin (Body Lotion)
I want this all over my body. Yes that’s right. This incredible hand and body lotion is my ultimate favorite at Lush. It smells so sweet, I just want to eat it. It must be the almond oil, organic bananas and vanilla pods in it! This moisturizer is lightweight and non greasy. It sinks into the skin quickly, and leaves me feeling so luscious and beautiful. Honestly, most of Lush’s body lotions are incredible but I am listing this as a beauty must have simply because I adore the scent over the other moisturizers. A sweet heavenly safe haven of skin care. A++
Tip: Ask for a sample of another body lotion when you go to purchase. Try them all!
4. Let The Good Times Roll (Facial Cleanser)So I’ve never actually got a sample of this, but one day, I was having a shower in my student house and I noticed this among the array of shower products. I couldn’t help myself; I had to try it (Sorry Kayla). It has a unique consistency that might turn some people off, but I instantly fell in love. It’s like an exfoliator and a cleanser all in one (without the plastic microbeads destroying the environment thank you very much), and it leaves your skin soft, smooth and super moisturized. Best part? The smell is like; rich caramel buttery toffee popcorn all in one. I can’t get enough.
Tip: For those with normal or oily skin, a light moisturizer after will suffice. This stuff already does a great job at hydrating the skin.
5. Ro’s Argan (Body Conditioner)
What would a Lush top eight piece be without Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner? This is my precious moisturizer I use so sparingly you would think it’s gold. This is a rose-scented powerhouse when it comes to hydrating the skin. It is recommended to use in the shower and rinse off, but you can also use it as a normal body lotion. The smell is decadent, luxurious, sultry, and lingers forever. Lush is known for it’s unique products and this is definitely one everyone must try.
Tip: This product is great to use for silky smooth summer legs!
6. Imperialis (Facial Moisturizer)
Maybe you guys can tell I love to moisturize; and no beauty regime would be complete without Imperialis. I am a wanderer when it comes to beauty products, I like to try different things to see what works for me; and then I found this. I could not believe how such a small amount moisturized my face within seconds; and wasn’t greasy! Lush suggests this moisturizer as a starting point moisturizer, but I need not search any further; I have found my holy grail moisturizer. The color makes me happy, and the smell of orange blossom and lavender really uplift my mood. My favorite part is how it helps reduce my redness, tone my skin, and just cccaaaalllmmmm everything down. Do yourself a favour and go buy this. A++
Tip: Do your research on the Lush website. They offer different moisturizers fit for different skin types, and if you still aren’t sure, that’s what samples are for!
7. Rosy Cheeks (Fresh Face Mask)
There has always been a lot of hype around Lush because of their hand-made face masks, so fresh they must be refrigerated! Admittedly I have only tried about four of their masks, but this is by far the best one. It’s a little more expensive than the others ($12.95) but it’s worth it. It works to calm, tone, and mattify the skin (thanks to the calamine powder). I slather this on my face (it expires pretty quick) and it’s like a face mask and an aromatherapy session all in one. The smell of rose oil is incredible, and really does leave your face so calm and beautiful.
Tip: Use Full of Grace serum bar under any Lush mask, and save up your empty pots! Bring 5 empty pots into any Lush and receive a free face mask!
8. It Started With A Kiss (Lip Tint)
This red apple infusion lip tint gives Snow-white a run for her money. I don’t use a lot of lipsticks, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want a pretty pout! I’ve tried so many ‘tinted lip balms’ and ‘lip stains’ but I find they either settle, feather, or smudge. No more with It Started With A Kiss! It is also super moisturizing without smuding thanks to the coconut oil and shea butter. It gives you the most beautiful ruby colour that looks so natural and stays forever! This rich in color product is perfect for summer!
Tip: You can also use this beautiful lip tint on your cheeks as a blush. Just dab on and blend!
Isn’t Lush a beautiful thing? The only downside that I noted in an earlier DIY piece, is how expensive some of their products can be. However, I’m a student, and I live the sample life. When I really love something, I buy it. With Lush products, a little goes a long way and I really appreciate how rich in quality Lush’s products are. This list is a great starting point for anyone looking to try the Lush life, but isn’t sure what is worth actually buying. These products work especially well for me because they are designed for my skin and hair type. I suppose it really depends what type of hair and skin you have, but rest assured; Lush will have something just for you.

I’m in love with some of these suggestions – I’m definitely considering that facial cleanser!
Personally I’ve always praised LUSH’s ‘Silky Underwear’ Dusting Powder. The smell is SO GOOD, and it really feels divine.
I really want to try all of these! As soon as i have the money….
