THE WAIT IS OVER.
After several delays, Frank Ocean finally graced our ears with his sophomore album, Blonde. The album, previously titled Boys Don’t Cry, consists of 17 tracks which will evoke vicarious emotions in anyone who listens to it:
Here are 5 feelings that you are guaranteed to experience as soon as you press play:
1. Happiness
Frank Ocean just dropped an album after a 4 year hiatus, how could you not be happy?
2. Nostalgia
The penultimate track, Godspeed reminds me so much of Frank’s previous album that I couldn’t help but get lost in my head thinking about the days spent listening to nothing but the entire Channel Orange album.
3. AHSJFLSHAL
Now, I’m quite sure this isn’t an actual emotion but it is most likely the reaction you’ll have about 4 tracks in when you realize that, holy crap, Frank Ocean is back.
4. Forgiveness
After listening to the album over and over (and over) again, I think it’s safe to say that Frank is off the hook for withholding his genius from us for 4 incredibly long years. Especially when he’s delivered two albums in the span of 2 days.
5. Frissons
You know those tingles you get when listening to music? They’re called frissons and I promise you, you’ll get goosebumps as soon as you hear the first note.
While I’m sure you’ll feel a plethora of emotions while emerging yourself in the world of Frank Ocean, here are five feelings Blonde is sure to make you feel. Have you heard the album yet? Let us know your thoughts!
