Hillary Clinton has had a challenging last few weeks on the campaign trail, particularly after being diagnosed with pneumonia and facing doubts about her health. Even worse, the gap between her and Drumpf in the polls has been steadily closing, leaving experts to wonder if he could actually win the presidency.
Perhaps in a bid to appear cool and relatable to a younger generation, Clinton appeared on Zach Galifianakis’ Funny Or Die online show, “Between Two Ferns,” this week — and proves she has a pretty solid poker face. Galifianakis thrives in creating awkward moments for celebrities, asking irreverent and absurd questions that leave guests wondering why they did the show in the first place.
Clinton was no exception, fielding intentionally sexist inquiries about what would happen if she became pregnant while in office and how President Obama likes to take his coffee. The Democratic nominee keeps her cool the entire time, sometimes answering him earnestly and other times just giving him a classic, confused deadpan stare.
For instance, when Galifianakis asks, “When you see how well it works for Donald Trump, do you ever think to yourself, ‘Oh, maybe I should be more racist‘?” Clinton’s response is a priceless non-reaction.
Clinton’s appearance on “Between Two Ferns” definitely captures a lighter, funnier side of the candidate and takes away from some of the dark and stormy messages of the election season so far. Think Galifianakis would host this next debate?
