Summer is full of adventures, new and exciting things, trips, and essentially lots of happiness. Where I am from, it has been quite the rainy beginning to summer and I’ve heard a few people already loose their happy vibes for their upcoming trip or fun activities, so I decided to change that. We all know music helps us with our moods and so I decided to share my happy, yet excited for summer playlist so that you’ll all be able to reconnect to your happy summer phase.
Mama – Jonas Blue feat. William Singe
Even the music video makes me want summer. This electronic tune has a fun and upbeat spirit that you just cannot resist. One thing I do have to warn you about with this song is the desire to drop everything and start dancing. Just prepare for a few head shakes and hip shakes… I swear it’s contagious.
Despacito – Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber
Before you press play just know that this new tune will make you fall in love with the Spanish language. It’ll allow you to let go and dance, to get out in the sun and is the perfect driving song. If you are going for a road trip this has to be on the playlist!
Strip That Down – Liam Payne feat. Quavo
CMON, you all knew this one would be on here. Speaking of a hot summer… what about a hot singer? Liam Payne (in the year of 2017) for sure does the trick. Not only is this song a party song but it is also a song you can blast and scream your lungs out too. Strip that attitude down and relax into a nice summery mood.
Everybody – Logic
I wouldn’t say this is a summer song but it is one of those all year round songs. The ones that you hear while your phones on shuffle and you become so happy and turn into a rapper. Having those moments in the summer makes the days even better. There’s some explicit content but if you are okay with that, this is a great choice.
Malibu – Miley Cyrus
If you prefer the more relaxing tunes, this is a great one. Miley Cyrus uses her incredible voice with great talent as she sings about how perfect Malibu is. Maybe try this one out as a campfire or a beach day tune!
Slow Hands – Niall Horan
Kick off your summer party with this killer tune. Another member of One Direction killing it solo. I’d be lying if my feet didn’t dance a little at my desk when this song comes on. Another slower song but his voice and the beat make it a great summer tune for any occasion.
Hey Ma – J Balvin & Pitbull feat. Camila Cabello
Want a great beat to dance in your underwear too? Maybe a bathing suit at the beach? Or something to kick off the party? You are welcome, Hey Ma can do all three. Enjoy the English or Spanish version and welcome to the head bouncing lifestyle.
Most Girls – Hailee Steinfeld
This powerful tune talks about how all girls are perfect the way they are and if that doesn’t make you love it, I don’t know what will. Hailee does a wonderful job with the beat of this song- forcing you to dance. It’s a great one to add to your everyday playlist.
Body – Sean Paul feat. Migos
If you are okay with a lot of censored language this song is a great dance song. One that changes minds when you hear the first beat. This is a club song but works so well as a song to rock out in your car while driving to your destination. Sean Paul does it once again.
Body Like A Back Road – Sam Hunt
If you’re more into the country music, don’t worry… I didn’t forget about you. With this killer tune, you’ll have to go grab a beer, and we all know it. Grab some friends, some booze, and turn it up. Let’s start off summer the right way!
With this variety of music, I hope you can find something that’ll keep you happy during the summer months. If not, maybe take a look around Youtube, iTunes or Spotify, they always have new and exciting songs to choose from. Try and make summer essentially your b*tch, loved every minute of it and be crazy.
