After any rough day of work or school, it’s great to come home and relax, but you know what makes it even better? Coming home to furry/scaly/feathery friends that love you more than life itself. Coming home to any little (or big) pets that are happier than a kid in a candy shop to see you, can really remind anyone how important these little friends may be.
Having a pet is like having a best friend who is always around. You love them with all your heart and they know how to cheer you up when you’ve had a bad day. They’re your family and the ones you never want to leave behind.
Once you adopt that little creature, your life will forever be changed. You’ll notice a large difference in your happiness, your sleeping patterns, and the way you live your life. That little creature is apart of your life now and it essentially means you are now a mother. You base your decisions on the animal, as it is your own little human. That may seem very weird to you but it is a common feeling for those animal parents.
As for keeping us sane, these pets have many qualities that boost your mood. A lot of animals can tell if you’ve had a bad day or if you’re feeling down, with that being said they love when you come home so they can change your mood. If that kiss doesn’t do its justice, they know just being in your presence does you wonders.
My favourite part is having someone to vent to without having any answers or judgements; my dog is clearly a very good listener. Your pets can sense your emotion and once they’ve warmed up to you and you’ve warmed up to them, that feeling of comfort never goes away. It is the best feeling in the world.
I do not know what I’d do without my baby, and when I say baby I mean my puppers. It can be a dog, a cat, a lizard, a monkey or an elephant, whatever it is, all animals create that sense of happiness. If you feel like you are missing a piece of your life, or if you feel your heart isn’t filled to the amount it can be, get an animal. That emptiness will be gone and you’ll have another family member. Happy pet shopping.
