It’s the second month of 2018, and one of my goals this year was to clear out my makeup bag. I had stuff in it from years ago that I don’t use anymore. It was time to break up with some of the things I owned and take only the good products into the new year with me. I encourage you to do the same because it’s a great way to help you declutter your house and makes you feel like you accomplished something during the day.
As I cleaned out my makeup bag, I found these go-to skin care products that will definitely be joining me in the year.
ExfoliKate
I have VERY sensitive skin, so most exfoliating products just cause me to go red in the face for hours. This is why I love love love Kate Somerville’s ExfoliKate. First of all, it smells like a minty, herby fruit. That’s the best way I can describe it! The physical exfoliator is tiny beads and it feels like sand. This is my most pricey skin product, but it’s worth it. The 1.7 oz tube has lasted me a year because you don’t need much, and you don’t need to do it often. This wonderful treatment makes your skin glow and ready to soak up your moisturizer.
Rosehip Oil
I use this hydrating oil every single day before I put my makeup on. Measurable Difference’s product balances your complexion by ditching the redness on your face. This lightweight and non-greasy product keeps your skin healthy by nourishing and moisturizing it. Did you know this product is made by pressing rose petals? How romantic!
Mud Mask
I generally don’t like mud masks, but Whish’s product proved me wrong. This renewing mask does wonders in minutes from its kaolin, montmorillonite, and mica clay. Honestly, this product always leaves my skin feeling so soft like I just got back from the spa.
Dropping a bit more money on a product that works well is worth it. These three favourites have lasted me over a year and I still love them. I think it’s worth buying great products if it’s going to help your skin-but you only need a few. It’s time for you to go through your makeup bag and get rid of the things you don’t use. Only keep the things you use daily, and your skin will forever thank you!
Give these products a try! They are wonderful.
