I’m Addicted To This Triple Chocolate Meltdown Cake & You Will Be Too

I am the type of person who chooses my dessert before choosing my entree. When I go to Applebee’s, I don’t even have to think about it anymore. I know exactly what dessert I’m ordering and as long as they keep serving it, that will never change.

I can’t remember the first time I ate Applebee’s Triple Chocolate Meltdown, but damn did it change my life. I tend to call it chocolate lava cake because that’s exactly what it is. It is a volcano of ooey, gooey, spongy chocolate cake filled and topped with, decadent hot fudge that oozes out of the middle with just the right nab of your spoon. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Applebee’s describes this dessert simply as, “Fudge-filled chocolate cake, dark & white chocolate, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge,” but trust me when I say it is oh so much more. It’s not just a cake, it’s a freaking lifestyle. I am definitely a chocoholic and if Chocoholics Anonymous existed, I would absolutely need to be a member.

This dessert affects all of my senses in ways you wouldn’t even believe. I share this dessert with others most times, but you better believe I’m fighting tooth and nail for the last piece every. single. time. Normally I’m wishing that I wasn’t sharing it, but I rarely admit that. Honestly, part of me is hoping this piece will get published and Applebee’s will reach out to me with a lifetime supply offer of this cake.

A girl can dream, can’t she?

Anyway, if you haven’t tried this cake yet, please get your butt up and find the nearest Applebee’s ASAP. And if you’re a giver, feel free to send over an Applebee’s gift card to me whenever you want. It’ll be put to good use, don’t you worry.
