We all know how having bad skin can affect our lives. The problem we all have is finding the best regimen for our needs. The best skincare routine is one that relies more on natural ingredients than skincare products that have chemicals in them. This is because the skin is perfectly equipped to heal itself and flourish, provided we give it the natural compounds and nourishment it needs.
Now, this doesn’t mean it’s wrong to use a perfectly blended skin care product – some of them are pretty good. We simply have to find a good balance between using face creams and natural oils, as these are both effective at maintaining good skin.
Besides face cream and oils, there are a few other methods that you have to incorporate into your current beauty regimen in order to achieve flawless skin. Here are five expert tips to get the results you deserve.
1. Give your face a steam massage in the shower
Spend a couple of minutes every day massaging your face in the shower to increase circulation for a nice, dewy complexion. Use your fingers to make small, circular motions, and focus on the cheeks, forehead, and then gradually work your way down to the jawline. Circulation is very important to skincare, so try to do this regularly and get an oil cleanser to improve hydration.
2. Drink lots of water & fresh fruit juice
Drinking water will help your body flush out toxins and keep your skin soft and smooth. Fruits will keep your stomach working perfectly and it will enhance the absorption of nutrients while providing vitamins, healthy fats, minerals, and other nutrients. Aim for the recommended 6-8 glasses of water per day, and eat more natural antioxidants to clear the stomach of toxins. If you have troubles drinking water, consider adding a natural sweetener as long as it doesn’t contain any unhealthy additives. You can also simply opt for adding lemon or cucumber for flavor.
3. Avoid using too much cosmetics
Cosmetics are a great solution for attaining instant beauty, but they’re not reliable if you’re thinking long-term. So instead of piling on layers of synthetic beauty products on your face, use herbal products whenever you can. This will minimize damage to your skin, since using cosmetics for too long can leave your skin looking dull and lifeless.
4. Bring out a natural flush of your lips
Find the right lip color and your entire face will come alive! A good lip balm will make your lips look more radiant and will improve your complexion. It will also boost your confidence since you’ll be looking and feeling awesome! A little experimentation is good here, so go wild.
5. Exfoliate with a washcloth soaked in hot water
Don’t burn your skin with a hot washcloth, but do use it regularly to exfoliate, as this will open up the pores and help to remove oil, dirt, and dead skin cells. You can try other ways to exfoliate if this method doesn’t do it for you. For example, sugar works perfectly as an exfoliator. Simply add some sugar to a bowl of warm water and use it to massage the face for a minute or two. Then wash it off with cold water! Remember to moisturize after exfoliating.
Following these simple steps will work wonders for your skin, and will allow you to see improvements in no time. These are just general guidelines so remember to check your skin type and add more steps if needed. And for now, let’s all hope for gorgeous and dewy skin!
