This week, Rihanna surprised us with something totally new. No, it wasn’t a new hit single, a Fenty Beauty drop, or a Savage x Fenty Collaboration. Instead, she announced on social media that her own skincare line – Fenty Skin – will release on July 31st.
Can’t wait until the end of the month? That’s OK because her website is already live and you can sign up for early access!
The singer turned beauty entrepreneur never seems to stop hustling. Rumors about her skincare product line ever started last March after Rihanna trademarked her brand. Eventually, Rihanna hopes to include medicated and non-medicated skincare, personal care, and beauty accessory products in her new line.
Similar to the idea of Fenty Beauty, fans speculate that Fenty Skin will uphold similar standards in terms of diversity and inclusion. After all, Rihanna did reply to a fan that she created her skincare line for her “sensitive skin gang.”
Additionally, Rihanna informed a Twitter user that she created her skincare line for everyone, regardless of gender.
If that’s the case, the House of Fenty will be making ripples within the beauty industry.
As of right now, we aren’t sure what products will launch first. However, we do know that the names of some items, including: Buff Ryder, Instant Reset, Fat Water, Flash Nap and Hydra Vizor. Rihanna’s Instagram video shows the singer applying a cleanser-like product along with a toner and moisturizer. As a result, fans are speculating that some of these product names were in the video.
Overall, we are more than excited to witness the launch of Fenty Skin. Many of us were impressed by RiRi’s past business projects. Her Fenty Beauty line amassed over $72 million sales in the first month while her Savage x Fenty brand raked over $150 million sales in the first year. The quality of her makeup products have caught the attention of fashion house LVMH in 2019. This ended up leading to a partnership between Fenty and the luxury house label.
With Rihanna’s ongoing drive as a beauty entrepreneur, we hope to see her make more improvements on Fenty Skin. Although the skincare industry is worth more than $100 billion dollars, we can trust RiRi to formulate the correct products for our night-time routines. After all, the ability to balance entrepreneurship projects and music is what makes RiRi a truly, badass boss woman.
