The 12 Best Celebrity Halloween Costumes Of 2020

With the tight social-distancing measures and restrictions, many people are slowly learning how to cope in a quarantined spooky season. Some are hosting their own Zoom Halloween parties, while others are buying candy to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve with their families. But one of the most important aspects of Halloween should never be forgotten: the costumes.

Every year, we would dress up with our friends and attend social gatherings. Even though such events cannot happen this year, the creativity behind costume-making continues to power through on social media. Here are some of the most artistic Halloween costumes worn by celebrities that we have ever seen:

1. Kim Kardashian

Taking inspiration from the Tiger King, Kim Kardashian and Jonathan Cheban, along with North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West mimicked the documentary in their own little space. How creative and cute is this?

2. Bella Thorne

Mixing red and black together is indeed a badass move, especially for a spooky-themed party. The scissors prop complements Thorne’s Instagram picture caption: “Tim Burton’s world’s colliding w/ my baddie.”

3. Kylie Jenner and Gang

Kylie Jenner, along with some of her closest friends, decided to adorn these colorful Power Rangers costumes. These girls went full-on, matching their hair with their outfits. Can we say #squadgoals?

4. Vanessa Hudgens

Sometimes, the simplest outfits can make great costumes when paired distinctively. Vanessa Hudgens shows us how by wearing a pink half-translucent dress, high stockings, space buns, and elf ears. Recycling clothes from your wardrobe is always the key to a distinct outfit, even if you want to be a pixie.

5. James Charles and Sisters

Every sister in this pic looks festive for spooky season. Some are dressed as scary dolls, whereas others are creatures of their own. Why not be freaks with your siblings all together, on the same day?

6. Rachel Bloom and Family

Instead of dressing up with friends and as an individual, why not celebrate the tradition as a family? Rachel Bloom did just that with her Mario costume, referencing the ever-so-popular game. Luigi will for sure be jealous.

7. Tan France

Try throwing on a wig next time and perhaps changing your usual dress code. You can become a different person with your own fashion designing skills, just like how Tan France became Moira Rose within a day.

8. Drew Barrymore

Being a princess throughout these unsettling times can relieve stress off of everyone’s shoulders, especially when running a show. So, why not be Glinda, the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz, when hosting your new TV segment?

9. Halsey

Hold on, is that actually Halsey or the Corpse Bride? Well, it is Halsey as the Corpse Bride! The makeup, accessories, and garments were a time-consuming process but at the end, everything did come together.

10. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

Halloween is the holiday where all imaginations come true. None of us ever expected to see spiderman and a white swan ballerina having an affair, but the couple proved us wrong.

11. Katherine Schwarzenegger

A fun and theatrical tradition can also be a way of honoring heroes and other helpful individuals. Katherine Schwarzenegger is a great example of this as she dressed up as an essential worker, and wrote a ‘thank you’ message on a prop. Throughout the pandemic, nurses, doctors, and other front-line employees worked tirelessly to prevent the spread of the virus and cure patients. So, they must be honoured continuously.

12. The Weeknd

You wouldn’t even recognize The Weeknd. He transformed into “The Nutty Professor” and honestly may have pulled it off better than Eddie Murphy did in the 90s. I am a sucker for a good throwback 90s costume and The Weeknd absolutely crushed it and wasn’t afraid to show off his dance moves in his costume.

Everyone has a different perception of Halloween costumes. Some decide to match the outfits with their friends while others enjoy expressing their own feelings and emotions through art. However, others are continuously inspired by current events and wish to make a change in societal mindset throughout the holiday. What was your Halloween costume for this year and how did you celebrate the holiday? Let us know in the comments below!
