Victoria’s Secret has launched a new campaign called “The Love Cloud.” This new campaign is their most inclusive, featuring models from all walks of life. Victoria’s Secret has recently been vocal about its commitment to celebrating women of all shapes, sizes and functionality. The Love Cloud campaign is certainly proof.

Furthermore, the new campaign has created a lot of positive buzz. An article about the new launch from PR News Wire quotes,

“’After listening to and being inspired by the real needs of our consumers, Love Cloud has been created as a collection that fits everyday comfort without sacrificing functionality or sexiness. With this new line, we are launching high-quality bras and panties in shapes that fit women’s daily needs, in our ongoing effort to develop products that champion women and support their individual journeys,’ says Janie Schaffer, Chief Design Officer for Victoria’s Secret Lingerie.”

Moreover, Fashion Network quoted the importance behind their work with,

‘Love Cloud Collection is a major moment in the brand’s evolution. From the cast of incredible women that bring the collection to life, to the incredible inclusive spirit on set, this campaign is an important part of the new Victoria’s Secret standard we are creating,’ said Raúl Martinez, head creative director of Victoria’s Secret.”

One of the biggest focuses of the buzz around the new campaign is model Sofia Jirau, who has Down’s syndrome. Hailing from Puerto Rico, Sofia has also used this campaign to inspire women to pursue their dreams. Jirau wrote, “Thank you Victoria’s Secret for seeing me as a model who has #NoLimits.”

Furthermore, other models in the campaign include pregnant women, wildland firefighters, and women with physical disabilities.

It is clear that Victoria’s Secret is trying to make their mission of inclusivity apparent.

Inclusivity is so important, especially when social media constantly sends women messages about how they should look, dress, and act. Furthermore, this Love Cloud campaign is a breath of fresh air when many other campaigns lead to self-loathing. We hope Victoria’s Secret can serve as an example for other companies and highlight how all women — regardless of their race, sexual orientation, or ability — should feel sexy and comfortable in what they wear.
