Here’s Why Living A Drama-Free Life Is The Best Choice You Could Make

“When I decided to mentally cut-off anyone that was detrimental to my health, I became liberated.”

Let’s face it, in high school drama was inevitable. No matter if you were directly part of it or not, there was always some situation or brawl that went down, and you heard about it. Sometimes it can be entertaining to hear about someone else’s bitch fight, but it is NOT fun when you are the one in it. When it came to my high school experience and even a lot of my university experience, it seemed like I always made friends with the type of people who loved creating unnecessary fights just for the sake of something to do. However, after so many years of this, I decided that this was not a healthy part of my life.

I recently reached a point in my life where I am so busy with school, career building, extracurriculars, and personal goals, but the drama was still finding its way into the mix of everything I was already doing. As someone with a lot on my plate already, friendship battles and attention-seeking girls is not something I have room for in my life anymore. Therefore, I took the liberty to cut anyone and anything out of my life that did not serve me in a positive way, and this was such as good decision.

I found myself surrounded by people who were depending on me to fix all of their problems, people who required 100% of me which I didn’t have to give, and people who always had something nasty to say about me and my other friends behind our backs. I was sick of these people. With everything else that I was doing, it made me feel incredibly stressed out to try and maintain these unhealthy relationships.

With the amount of stress I was feeling from these people, I knew that there was only one way to mend this problem:

I had to say goodbye to the people who were toxic to my mental health.

I found by cutting the ties of these people I started living a drama-free life, and let me tell you, it feels incredibleNot only am I able to focus on myself and improve my mental health and stress levels, but it has been extremely relaxing to not have those people bringing me down and making me feel depressed.

When I decided to mentally cut-off anyone that was detrimental to my health, I became liberated. I feel like an entirely new person, a happy person. This is because I have been drama-free and having no drama has made it possible for me to refresh myself and open myself up to new relationships.

I have been able to learn what kind of people I want in my life and what type of people deserve to be in it. Also, I have been able to teach myself that is it okay for me to let go of the things that aren’t good for me. There is no need to feel guilty for saying goodbye to people who were negatively impacting my life. Therefore, living a drama-free life was the best choice I’ve ever made, and I strongly recommend this lifestyle to anyone who has dramatic friends who drag them into their mess and bring them down.
