The world has been waiting for its new reality TV show to sweep the hearts of young viewers around the world like The Hills did, and MTV just delivered another one. Siesta Key is the latest among new t.v shows airing on the station, aimed at young adults and teens.
The weather is hot, the people are attractive, and the drama is just explosive. Although no one has come out and said it, Siesta Key is very similar to The Hills for some reasons from the lavish lifestyles they all live down to the personalities of the cast. Twitter users have been debating about what character portrays what Hills alum the most, and here’s the main consensus.
Chloe is the new Lauren Conrad
Can there even be another LC? Never! But so far Chloe has come pretty close. She’s a sweetheart who loves and protects her large group of friends. She knows everything about everyone and is highly confident in her advice and actions. Plus her drama with Amanda!? Say hello to the new LC and Heidi feud in 2017.
Madisson is the new Whitney Port/Lo Bosworth
She’s an absolute sweetheart with the best advice on every situation. She has a hard working attitude and is compassionate to others. Although she’s still best friends with her high school sweetheart Alex, she helps hold the group together with her true nature and is always the first one there for someone when they need a friend. We all need best friends like Whitney and Lo, and Madisson fills that void.
Juliette is the new Audrina Patridge
After being screwed over yet another summer by Alex, Juliette is getting her revenge. After discovering Alex flirting with Kelsey, and noticing a spiteful energy from Kelsey who was proud of her new prized possession, Juliette decided to prove she’s still the number one girl to Alex. As Chloe put it, Kelsey can have him during the day, but she have him at night… When it only matters to Alex. Such an Audrina move.
Alex is the new Brody Jenner
The show should basically be called ‘Alex & the Girls He Sleeps With & Friends.’ Basically out of everyone in the cast, the only girl he hasn’t slept with at one point or another was his BFF Chloe. He’s the king of the castle, and everyone just lives in his palace.
Kelsey is the new Kristin Cavallari
Okay, so Kristin came in late during the series to replace Lauren Conrad when she left. But Kelsey comes in as the new girl, and she is quickly getting herself a bad reputation from the other girls for the way she treats her boyfriend and the new man Kelsey is after, even though she knew he was seeing someone (while she was too). She’s not as innocent as she appears and she’s quickly learning who to do and who not to do in the Key.
Amanda is the new Heidi Montag
Although Amanda isn’t a primary cast member, we’ve seen and heard enough of her to know she’s similar to Heidi. Only… a little more aggressive. From exposing Kelsey’s dirty secret with Alex to literally breaking Chloe’s nose, she’s not one to back down and stir the pot of hate-filled sangria.
The drama is as infectious as the possible STI they all could be sharing with their sexual history’s, but the show is an absolute hit! Although it’s unsure if there will be a season two, hopefully there is! One thing we all know is Siesta Key is a sunny beach full of shady people. And I’ll watch every second of their drama.
